Hybrid Powertrain
The 4xe’s hybrid system consists of a 2.0-liter PHEV four-cylinder turbo engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, delivering a max 375 horsepower and a best-in-class 470 pound-feet of torque. All this power allows the 4xe to tow an impressive 3,500 pounds, or 6,000 pounds when properly equipped for hauling.
In addition to producing immense power, the powertrain is extremely fuel efficient, with an EPA-estimated 56 mpg and a maximum range of 470 miles. You also have the option of choosing which power you use by switching between Hybrid, Electric, and eSave drive modes.
Off-Road Capabilities
Jeep has designed the Grand Cherokee 4xe with off-roading in mind. Underbody reinforced housing protects the vehicle’s components from rough terrain, while the water-sealed battery pack lets you traverse through 24-inches of water without damaging the battery. The 4xe also features Jeep’s Quadra-Trac II 4×4 system, which uses sensors to detect potential tire slips and take corrective action for added on and off-road capability.
Rugged Exterior
Although built to last, the Grand Cherokee 4xe still projects a stylish image with its textured chrome grille, body-colored bumpers, chrome accents, signature badging, and 18-inch painted aluminum wheels. Convenience is a priority, as Jeep has also fitted the SUV with heated memory side mirrors with integrated turn signals, LED reflector headlights, LED fog and taillights, and a power liftgate for easier loading and unloading.
Plush Interior
Slide inside the 4xe, and you’re greeted with a plush interior adorned with Capri leatherette upholstery, including the heated rear seats and heated eight-way power-adjustable driver seat. Let in the fresh air and natural light with the dual-pane power-tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof, which also features a power sunshade if the light becomes too bright.
